How to join TransPension
Joining TransPension is simple.
Download the TransPension Product Disclosure Statement and complete the enclosed Membership application. Then complete the following steps.
Step 1
Choose the pension you want: We offer two kinds of pension:
1. TransPension's Transition to Retirement Pension (TRAP)
If you are age 55 or over, and want access to some of your super as a pension while still working.
2. TransPension's Account Based Pension or ABP
When you have permanently retired from work, and want to live off your hard-earned super savings.
Step 2
Investment amount. Decide how much you want to invest. You need a minimum of $10,000.
Step 3
Pension payments. Consider how much you would like to receive in pension payments, how often you want to be paid, and when you want payments to start.
Step 4
What is your investment choice? You can choose from three different investment options for investing your money.
Step 5
Who will receive your account balance if you die? The trustee of the fund must decide who your account balance will be paid out to if you die. To guide the trustee, it is in your interest to nominate your beneficiaries on your Membership application.
Step 6
Provide your Tax File Number (TFN) to avoid paying extra tax. By providing your TFN when you join TransPension, you may avoid paying unnecessary tax. Read the Tax and social security section of the Product Disclosure Statement and return a Tax File Number Notification form with your Membership application.
Step 7
Complete your Membership application. You will need to provide certified evidence of your identity when you join TransPension, prior to your first pension payment.
Please send your completed Membership application and other info/details to:
