Investment options

As soon as you have $1000 or more in your account, you can choose to invest your super in Cash Plus, Balanced, Equity Plus or a combination of these options to suit your risk profile and needs.

The Balanced option is where your super is invested if you do not make an investment choice or if your account balance is less than $1000.

TWUSUPER has selected a mix of asset classes and professional investment managers for each investment option. The table  below provides a quick snap shot of the differences between each investment option.

Option Invested in Risk profile
Cash Plus Invested in a combination of short term interest bearing securities and cash. Reduced short term risk with lowest expected longer term returns.
Balanced Invested in a broad mix of approximately 75% growth assets and 25% defensive assets.

Medium short term risk with moderate growth expected over the longer term.
Equity Plus Invested in growth assets (primarily Australian shares and international shares). Highest short term risk, generally highest expected long term return.
